Editorial policy
Where our information comes from
We base our content on peer-reviewed research, guidance from bodies like the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the CDC, and the NIH, and established clinical practice. Every article includes a sources section linking to the research behind its claims.
How content gets made
Articles are researched and drafted by our editorial team, fact-checked against the cited sources, and reviewed before publishing. Where a topic touches medical territory (sleep disorders, medication, health conditions), we hold the content to a stricter standard and are building a medical review process with credentialed reviewers.
Updates and corrections
Sleep science moves. We review high-traffic articles periodically and update them when the evidence changes, with the modified date shown on the page. If you spot an error, tell us via the contact page and we'll check it and correct it.
Independence
Product recommendations are chosen on merit. Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend, and brands can't pay for coverage or better reviews. When a page contains affiliate links, it says so at the top.
